Süleyman Demirel University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences was established in 1992, simultaneously with the university within which it is located. With Presidential Decree No. 7477 published in the Official Gazette No. 32269 dated August 4, 2023, Süleyman Demirel University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences was closed, and its science departments were affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. With Presidential Decree No. 32269 dated August 4, 2023, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was established, and departments in the social sciences were brought together under the aforementioned faculty. Our faculty has a total of 11 departments: Archaeology, Western Languages ??and Literature, Geography, Eastern Languages ??and Literature, Philosophy, Translation and Interpreting, Psychology, Art History, Sociology, History, and Turkish Language and Literature. In addition to the Eastern Languages ??and Literature and Translation and Interpreting departments, undergraduate education is also actively offered. In accordance with the Council of Higher Education's decision for the 2024-2025 academic year, the evening program has been discontinued, and all newly enrolled students at our faculty are enrolled in the daytime program at our university. Students are also offered the opportunity to pursue minors and double majors, provided they meet certain criteria. Our faculty also offers master's and doctoral programs, which are conducted through our university's Institute of Social Sciences. Students who successfully complete the educational programs offered by the Institute of Social Sciences can obtain the titles of "Scientist" and "Doctor of Science" and pursue academic careers. Our faculty, committed to maintaining its educational activities in accordance with global scientific quality standards, employs 107 academic staff. 28 staff members also work to ensure the smooth running of administrative affairs. Our faculty has three conference halls, named "Prof. Dr. Bayram Kodaman," "Şehit Sezgin Uludağ," and "Türker Taşaltın." These halls host the activities of various university clubs and students. Various scientific meetings are also held in these conference halls. In addition, three laboratories within our faculty are used by the geography department.
