History
Our institute took opening permit in 25.02.1993. At the beginning of 1993-1994 academic year, the institute started education in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, History, Turkish Language and Literature Departments on master’s program with 38 students and in Business Administration and History on doctoral program with 5 students. Today Graduate School Of Social Sciences has been continuing the postgraduate education in 25 departments. Admission Requirements
(1) In order for the candidate to apply for a master's program, he or she must be a graduate of the undergraduate program/programs recommended by the relevant Head of the Department of Institute/Head of the Art of Institute and accepted by the Board of Institute, or be in a position to be a graduate at the end of the application period. (2) The ALES and foreign language requirements are not required for candidates who apply to the non-thesis master's and Head of Department of Art's master's programs. (3) Students are not admitted to non-thesis master's programs with lateral transfer.

Higher Grade Transition

It is not possible to apply to doctoral programs with the diploma of non-thesis master's programs.

Graduation Requirements
The student must have succeeded at least 10 courses and term projects, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS credits in total, and must get at least G, CC or higher grades from all the courses he has taken, and his overall grade point average must be at least 2.50 out of 4.00. Candidates who have successfully completed the credit courses and the term project are entitled to receive the Business Administration Distance Education Non-Thesis Master's diploma.

Assessment and Grading
In non-thesis master's programs, the semester ECTS credit value of compulsory/elective courses, specialization courses, seminar courses and project courses is 6. CLAUSE 17 – (1) The student's end-of-term grade is determined by the instructor for each course taken. evaluated by one of the following letter grades: Score Letter Grade Success Grade 90-100 AA 4.0 85-89 BA 3,5 80-84 BB 3.0 75-79 CB 2,5 70-74 CC 2.0 60-69 DC 1.5 50-59 DD 1.0 40-49 FD 0.5 0-39 FF 0.0 Other letter grades; Defined as NA (Non Attended), G (Passful), C (Failed), M (Exempted) and I (Not Entered). Scientific evaluation and/or interview exam and evaluation of applications CLAUSE 18 – (1) Only the graduation grade point average or the Weighted Grade Point Average of the candidate who applies to the master's programs without thesis is taken into account, and the candidate is not given a scientific evaluation and/or interview exam. Appointment of advisor and second advisory CLAUSE 19 – (1) For each student enrolled in the non-thesis master's program, the EABD/EASD Board recommends the student's advisor to the relevant institute from among the university faculty members, taking into account the previous scientific studies of the student, the field in which he/she wants to work and the advisor's preference. The advisor is appointed before the start of the semester in which the student is registered, on the dates specified in the academic calendar of the institute, with the approval of the EYK. (2) A second advisor is not appointed in the non-thesis master's program. Course and term project CLAUSE 20 – (1) At most three of the courses to be taken by the student can be selected from the undergraduate courses upon the proposal of the advisor and the decision of the EYK, provided that they were not taken during the undergraduate education. (2) The courses taken by the student in undergraduate are not counted towards the non-thesis master's course load and credit. (3) The term project course is non-credit and is evaluated as successful or unsuccessful by the advisor. Determining and changing the project study subject CLAUSE 21 – (1) The student notifies the subject of the project to the institute within thirty days from the start of the semester in which he/she chooses the term project course. (2) The student may request a change in the subject of the project, provided that he/she re-registers the project course at the beginning of the semester in which he/she will repeat the project course. Finalization of the project course CLAUSE 22 – (1) The student takes the project course in the second semester at the earliest. The data obtained in the project work is written in accordance with the Thesis/Project Writing Guide determined by the Senate. (2) The term project must be uploaded to the Institute Student Affairs Information System on the dates specified in the academic calendar of the relevant institute by the advisor. NOTE: It is specified in accordance with Süleyman Demirel University Graduate Education and Training Directive, Part 3 (ARTICLE 18, 19, 20, 21, 22).
