Süleyman Demirel University (SDU) Chemical Engineering Department was established in 2008. The undergraduate program was opened in the 2011-2012 academic year. OUR VISION: To be a respected and continuously developing education and research institution at national and international level.
OUR MISSION: SDU Department of Chemical Engineering "To train Chemical Engineers who have the ability to access information and use the latest technology in order to meet the current and future demands of the industry and society, and to carry out research studies on the problems of the industry by developing undergraduate and graduate programs in this direction, and as a result of these researches. It aims to transfer the emerging scientific data to the industry.
Educational Objectives of the Chemical Engineering Program In a few years after graduation,
Süleyman Demirel University Chemical Engineering Department graduates;
1. To be directed to research and development activities, to be able to take part in regional, national and international projects carried out in the advanced technological fields of chemical engineering,
2. To be prone to interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary teamwork and to take a leadership role,
3. To be able to design by defining goals and constraints; Thus, in cooperation with professional and non-governmental organizations, it will be able to bring innovative solutions to engineering problems and contribute to the development of the industry in priority areas; and/or freelance engineering services,
4. To be able to communicate in visual, written, verbal and electronic media in Turkish and English at an advanced level, ,

Since they adopt the principle of lifelong learning, they are engineers who will develop their profession by preserving and improving the gains they have gained in the chemical engineering program. These "Program Educational Objectives" are supported by mechanisms such as educational plans, vocational internships, project competitions, seminars, extracurricular activities and institutional contributions; It is evaluated every 6 years through interviews and surveys with employers, industry and professional chambers.
At the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board on 21.12.2011, it was deemed appropriate to open the Departments of Chemical Technologies, Process and Reactor Design, Basic Operations and Thermodynamics in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
