About Programme

Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Engineering (SDU MF) Computer Engineering Undergraduate Program Undergraduate Program carried out as Formal Education; It consists of a total of 4 years. The 4-year (8 semesters) course passing system is applied in the form of repetition of conditional courses in case the GPA is below 1.80. English preparatory class is optional in formal education. In addition, Internships are held during the summer months. Students who successfully complete the necessary studies in the Computer Engineering program are entitled to receive the "Bachelor's" degree with all the powers of Computer Engineering.



There is a Double Major between Computer Engineering Formal Education Program and Industrial Engineering. Preliminary interviews were held with the Computer Engineering and Electronics-Communications Engineering departments regarding the application of the Double Major program, and the relevant commissions continue to work. In addition, all departments of the Faculty of Engineering and the related departments of the Faculty of Technology are implementing the Minor Program.



The program carries out the Computer Engineering Department Master's and Doctorate Programs within the body of Süleyman Demirel University, Institute of Science and Technology. Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive "Master's" and "PhD" degrees. In the program, postgraduate education is carried out in these sub-disciplines. There are 3 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 7 Doctors and 3 Research Assistants in our department. A total of 16 academic staff work full-time in the department.



In addition, about 17 lecturers, most of whom are lecturers, who can be evaluated part-time in Basic Sciences courses (Physics, Mathematics, Turkish Language, Ataturk's Principles and History of Revolution, English, etc.) also support education.

History
Our department, which started education in 2006, includes undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. It is among the goals of our department to train Computer Engineers who can successfully work in Turkey and any country in the world. Our department is an engineering department where professional activities are frequently organized.

Secondary education was opened in the fall semester of 2008/2009, distance education was opened in the fall of 2011/2012, graduate education in the fall of 2008/2009, and doctoral education in the fall of 2015/2016. Currently, there are 3 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 7 Doctoral Faculty Members and 3 Research Assistants in the staff of the department.

Higher Grade Transition
Candidates who have successfully completed their master's education can study in doctoral programs, provided that they get sufficient grades from the ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge.
Graduation Requirements
Students must have a bachelor's degree in computer engineering or a related field in order to enroll in the program. In addition, they must be successful in the ALES exam, a foreign language exam and an interview exam. Students who successfully complete the courses in the curriculum of our program, successfully complete a master's thesis and have a minimum average according to the graduate regulations of Süleyman Demirel University are entitled to receive a Master's degree.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
A computer engineer can work as a system and network administrator, network security specialist, systems analyst, webmaster or designer, software development manager, database specialist.
Assessment and Grading
The assessment and evaluation method applied for each course usually includes course assignments and final work. Course-specific differences are noted in the content of each course.
