About Programme
|
The main purpose of the undergraduate business program is to deepen the theoretical knowledge of students in business management and to enable them to carry out academic research that will contribute to the determination and solution of problems in organizations. At the same time, it is aimed to train people who have a say in the field by sharing the results of the researches carried out in national and international environments and who will take on positions in the business world and academic institutions.
Business Administration Department Mission
To contribute to knowledge for the development of society based on continuous development in business education and scientific research; to educate students as individuals who can adapt to changing conditions in national and international competition, who have the qualifications of managers, experts and researchers needed in private sector and public institutions and organisations in finance, accounting, management and organisation, marketing, quantitative and qualitative decision making.

History
As a young and dynamic higher education and training institution on the national development path, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, which is within the body of Süleyman Demirel University, was established in 1992 and became operational on February 25, 1993. In the 1993-1994 academic year, the Department of Business Administration started education. In 1997, the department had its first graduates. Süleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, as in the same type of Faculties in our country; It aims to educate people who are useful to the society and to increase their knowledge and skill level. For this purpose, it has been taken into account that students gain knowledge and skills in a wide-ranging field of social science, in which they can improve themselves and specialize in various subjects, and education and training programs are arranged according to these principles. In our age where science and technology are changing rapidly, the economic and social change process, which is accelerating, creates new and different business areas in public and private sector institutions, and there is a need for well-trained, qualified and constantly renewing human resources in these fields. Being aware of this, our faculty constantly develops and updates its programs according to the changing needs of the day.

Qualification Awarded
|
Graduates who successfully complete all the qualifications of the programme will receive the degree of ‘Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration’.

Admission Requirements
In order to enroll this department, a student has to fulfill all legal requirements and pass the exam that is organized by ÖSYM. Any student, who has already started an equivalence degree program in the country or abroad can apply for transferring the department. All transfer requests are considered individually at the beginning of the term.
Foreign exchange students can take the courses offered in English. If an exchange student is comfortable with using Turkish language at advanced level, (s)he can take any courses offered in Turkish in the course plan.

Higher Grade Transition
|
After successfully graduating the program, a student can apply for masters or doctorate degrees in business administration or other departments that accept students with business administration undergraduate level degree.

Graduation Requirements
|
In order to complete the program and to get the degree, there is no particular end-term or final year graduation exam or project at the end of the academic years. Nevertheless, students need to take midterm and final exams for all courses that they take in a term. During the summer term, a student can take some of the courses that (s)he failed before. First Cycle (Bachelor’s Degree).This part is liable to 240 ECTS first level degree system in the field of Business Administration.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Students who successfully complete the program can be employed in jobs that require expertise in the form of specialists, consultants and strategists in the private and public sectors. In addition, they are also able to work as academic and administrative staff at universities.

Assessment and Grading
|
Each student must register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and must attend at least 70% of the courses in order to take the final exam. Students are subjected to at least one midterm exam, final exam and unsuccessful students take a make-up exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 40% and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Students who get one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB) and (CB) in a course are deemed to have succeeded in that course.
