About Programme
|
Founded in 1992, SDU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences continues its educational activities with 13 departments. The main aim of the faculty is to train its students at international standards to become experts in their fields. SDU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, with the responsibility of being the oldest and influential institution of the Mediterranean region, contributes to the economic, political and social development of the region. It has become an outstanding education and research institution recognized at the national and international level.

History
|
Our department started its education life by accepting its first undergraduate students in 1998 within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Süleyman Demirel University, which was founded in 1992. As of 2021, students are accepted through formal education.

Qualification Awarded
|
This department is subject to the first stage degree system of 240 ECTS credits in the field of Finance in higher education. Graduates who successfully complete all the competencies of the program receive a "Bachelor's Degree in Finance" degree.
|
Admission Requirements
Students who want to enroll in the department must complete the processes determined by ÖSYM after high school graduation within the framework of the university's academic and legal regulations / pass the exams. The program accepts students in equal weight score type. A student who has started his/her education in an equivalent program in Turkey or abroad can apply for horizontal transfer.
Students coming from abroad within the scope of student exchange programs approved by the university and whose limits are determined by an agreement can take courses given in English in the department. If the student has Turkish language proficiency, he/she can enroll in any Turkish course specified in the Course Plan.

Higher Grade Transition
|
Students who successfully complete the program can apply to thesis/non-thesis master's and doctoral programs in the field of Finance or other branches of science that accept students from this field.

Graduation Requirements
|
In order to graduate from the program, students must successfully complete 30 ECTS credits for each semester (32 for the first semester) in eight terms, pass all compulsory and related elective courses, have no failed courses (FF/FD), and have a weighted general grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduates work in the public and private sectors. In the public sector, they work as financial inspectors, accountants, and controllers; as specialists in the Undersecretariat of Treasury and Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, inspectors in public and private banks; and as accountants, certified public accountants, and auditing experts in the private sector.

Assessment and Grading
|
In the examination measurement and evaluation, the final grade is determined by taking 40% of the midterm exam result and 60% of the final exam result.
