About Programme

52 courses are taught in the department. In the first year, basic medical courses such as Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Anatomy are taught. In the 2nd year and other classes, basic branch courses are taught. Practices are carried out in SDU and other official hospitals.

History
Midwifery Department is one of the departments within the Faculty of Health Sciences of Süleyman Demirel University. SDÜ Isparta Health Services Vocational School was opened in accordance with the protocol signed between the Ministry of Health and the Higher Education Institution on September 10, 1992. Students were admitted to the midwifery program in the 1992-1993 academic year. Our school started midwifery undergraduate education in the 1996-1997 academic year. The Faculty of Health Sciences was established in 2009. The midwifery department is a four-year undergraduate program and consists of a single department.

Bachelor's Degree in Midwifery
Admission Requirements
High School Diploma and having received sufficient score in the central exam. Also, being a woman is required for the Midwifery Department.
Higher Grade Transition
Candidates who successfully complete their undergraduate education can study in national or international postgraduate programs in their own fields or in related fields.
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, students must pass all courses in 8 semesters, earn 240 ECTS credits and have a minimum GPA of 2.00.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Our graduates have employment opportunities in many public institutions and organizations as well as in the private sector. They also have the opportunity to work as academics in related fields at universities.
Assessment and Grading
Exams, measurement and evaluation are carried out in accordance with the "Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Health Sciences Education-Training and Examination Directive". The items other than this directive are also valid in the "Süleyman Demirel University Education-Training and Examination Directive". In addition, the measurement and evaluation method applied for each course is explained in detail in the course descriptions.
