About Programme

The main purpose of the doctoral program in Business Administration is to deepen the theoretical knowledge of the students on business management and to enable them to carry out academic research that will contribute to the determination and solution of problems in organizations. At the same time, it is aimed to train people who have a say in the field by sharing the results of the researches carried out in national and international environments and who will take on duties in the business world and academic institutions.

History
As a young and dynamic higher education and training institution on the national development path, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, which is within the body of Süleyman Demirel University, was established in 1992 and became operational on February 25, 1993. In the 1993-1994 academic year, the Department of Business Administration started education. In 1997, the department had its first graduates.
Süleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, as in the same type of Faculties in our country; It aims to educate people who are useful to the society and to increase their knowledge and skill level. For this purpose, it has been taken into account that students gain knowledge and skills in a wide-ranging field of social science, in which they can improve themselves and specialize in various subjects, and education and training programs are arranged according to these principles. In our age where science and technology are changing rapidly, the economic and social change process, which is accelerating, creates new and different business areas in public and private sector institutions, and there is a need for well-trained, qualified and constantly renewing human resources in these fields. Being aware of this, our faculty constantly develops and updates its programs according to the changing needs of the day.

Admission Requirements
Students will be accepted in accordance with the provisions of the Süleyman Demirel University Graduate Education Regulations. Having a master's degree in a science or art branch approved by the Graduate School Board of Directors and approved by the Graduate School Administrative Board, Having received at least 55 standard points from ALES in the score type of the program applied, or at least an equivalent score from one of the exams accepted by the Interuniversity Board They must be at least 55 points from YDS or at least equivalent points from national and international foreign language exams accepted by the Interuniversity Board.
Higher Grade Transition
Students who graduate from the program can carry out post-doctoral studies in related fields of social sciences.
Graduation Requirements
In order for the student to be able to enter the proficiency exam, the weighted grade point average must be at least 2.50, provided that he/she is successful in all the courses taken, and the student who has been accepted with a master's degree must pass at least 60 ECTS credits including one seminar course, and the student who has been accepted with a bachelor's degree must have one seminar course. Students must succeed in at least 120 ECTS credits. The doctorate/art proficiency exam is evaluated by the proficiency exam whether the student who successfully completes the courses and seminars has the basic topics and concepts in the field and the depth of scientific research related to the doctoral study. The student must be successful in the proficiency exam. For the student who is successful in the proficiency exam, a thesis monitoring committee is formed within one month following the proficiency exam, upon the request of the advisor, the recommendation of the relevant EABD/EASD presidency and the decision of the EYK. The student who successfully completes the doctoral/art proficiency exam has to defend his/her thesis proposal, which includes the purpose, method and study plan of the research to be conducted, in front of the thesis monitoring committee within six months following the exam date. For the student whose thesis proposal is accepted, the thesis monitoring committee meets twice a year, once between January-June and July-December, in accordance with the academic calendar determined by the relevant institute. A student who is successful in at least 3 (three) thesis monitoring committee exams can take the thesis defense exam. According to the relevant legislation, the student defends his thesis orally in front of the jury.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Our graduates are also able to work as academic and administrative staff at universities. Our graduates can also work in private sector organizations.
Assessment and Grading
Each student must register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and must attend at least 70% of the courses in order to take the final exam. Students are subjected to at least one midterm exam, final exam and unsuccessful students take a make-up exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 50% and the contribution of the final exam is 50%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Semester final grade is required to be at least 75 for each course. Students who get one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB) and (CB) in a course are deemed to have succeeded in that course.
