About Programme

Süleyman Demirel University (SDU) Industrial Engineering Ph.D. Program; It is a program prepared and carried out by SDU Engineering Faculty Industrial Engineering Department. It admitted its first graduate Ph.D. students in the 2015-2016 academic year. In order to be accepted to the program whose language of instruction is Turkish, the candidate must meet the application criteria set by the SDU Graduate School of Sciences and be successful in the relevant exams. Providing up-to-date and research-oriented engineering education has been adopted as a basic principle in the programs. History
Our department started education and training at the undergraduate and graduate level in the 2006-2007 academic year. A total of 12 academic staff and 2 administrative staff work in our department, where academic activities are carried out in two departments, Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. Our department accepts students to its undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.

Admission Requirements
Students who can certify that they have a master's degree or are entitled to graduate in the fields announced before the entrance exam date can apply to the doctoral program.Additional conditions to be sought in candidates are determined and announced by the Institute Board within the framework of the relevant regulation and legislation.

There is no upper level in our education program.
Graduation Requirements
1. Doctorate program, provided that not less than 240 ECTS credits, consists of at least seven compulsory and/or elective courses stipulated by the EABD/EASD presidency, two seminar courses, one of which is in the course period, thesis work, proficiency exam and specialization course.
2. In order for the doctoral program student to be able to take the proficiency exam, he/she must have a weighted grade point average of at least 2.50, provided that he/she is successful in all the courses he/she takes, and the student who has been accepted with a master's degree has to pass at least 60 ECTS credits, including a seminar course, to be accepted with a bachelor's degree. the student must succeed in at least 120 ECTS credits including a seminar course.
3. The doctoral program is eight semesters for those who are accepted with a master's degree with thesis, regardless of whether they are registered for each semester, excluding the time spent in scientific preparation, and the maximum completion time is twelve; For those admitted with a bachelor's degree, ten semesters and the maximum completion period is fourteen semesters.
4. The student whose thesis has been accepted; Within the first month following the thesis defense exam date, seven bound and three copies of the thesis (removable memory) saved in electronic environment and the documents and documents requested by YÖK are completed and delivered to the institute. With the decision of the EYK, the student is entitled to a doctorate degree.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates with a doctoral degree in industrial engineering are employed as specialists in many companies operating in the production and service sectors and as assistant professor doctor in universities.
Assessment and Grading
1.Exams; consists of midterm, final exam and make-up exam.
2. The full mark in the exams is 100 points. Exams can be done for homework, projects, written notes, oral presentations, written-practical or oral-practical.
3. The passing grade for a course is calculated by adding 50% of the midterm exam grade and 50% of the final exam grade and is entered into the Institutes Student Information System by the lecturer giving the course. To be successful in a course; The course grade must be at least 2.5 for the doctorate.
4. The student who does not fulfill the attendance requirement cannot take the midterm, final exam and make-up exam.
5. The success of the courses taken by the EYK decision from other higher education institutions becomes final with the EYK decision of the relevant institute.
